SchoolQuest is thrilled to announce the upcoming arrival of Naviance!

What is Naviance?  Good question, I know it was mine!  Naviance is a college and career planning resource that can be used by students as young as 8th grade.    It is fantastic tool that will help students plan their educational path.   While using Naviance a student can complete inventories that will help define their strengths and interests.  They can then find courses of study that utilize those strengths and see what careers match up with those findings.  Scholarship information is available as is college application information.  All of this data can be stored in the system so you know when and to which school you’ve applied.

Who can use Naviance?  Our pilot program will be offered to the first 1000 students who meet the following criteria:

  • 13 years of age or older
  • 8th-12th grade
  • Military-affiliation

We hope to offer Naviance to more students in the future as the program gains recognition and success.

How much does it cost?  Here’s the best part, Naviance is being offered free of charge by SchoolQuest and the Military Child Education Coalition!

Why are we offering it?  Because, as always, the goal at SchoolQuest and the Military Child Education Coalition is to level the playing field for all military students, making their educational path smoother and more successful.  Everything we do is “for the sake of the child.”

When will it be available?  Spring 2011!
