Back this year is a great opportunity for military connected kids ages 9 – 17.  Operation: Military Kids is proud to host camping experiences for the children, youth and families of all military services experiencing deployment.  These 2012 OSD/OMK Camps (offered in selected states) are funded through a partnership with the Department of Defense, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Military Community & Family Policy, and the Office of Family Policy/Children & Youth.

Campers will spend their days participating in fun, interactive programming designed specifically for military kids to build resiliency, coping, and life skills. They also will participate in camp favorites including swimming, creek walks, climbing, outdoor camping, campfires, themed all-camp evening programs and more!

Follow this OMK link for summer 2012 camping opportunities listed alphabetically by state.   Complete camp information (location, details, registration, etc.) can be received by connecting with the identified point of contact on the list.

For additional youth support experiences in your state, check the OMK website under “State Information” (the top link in the left column).
