Are you curious about the Mission to Mars? Why? Your answer could earn you a $1,000 scholarship!
What is MathMovesU®?
MathMovesU®, an initiative of Raytheon and a partner of the Military Child Education Coalition®, is a program designed to show students that math is literally all around them in an effort to encourage students to participate in STEM education and programs thereby training up our future mathematicians, scientists and engineers.
Who can apply?
6th, 7th and 8th graders
What is the application deadline?
Submissions will be accepted through February 8th, 2013.
What does the application involve?
Students are asked to illustrate the importance of math in the mission to Mars and in space exploration. Evaluations will be made based upon creativity, originality, time commitment and the use of math equations to demonstrate an enthusiasm for math and space exploration.
