Last Weekend for 2013 Blue Star Museums!
08/30/2013 Published by: Suzanne
Have you and your family taken advantage of the Blue Star Museums program yet this summer? This weekend will be your last opportunity this year to visit one of the more than 2,000 participating art centers, museums and exhibits where all active duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their families gain FREE entry!
First started in 2010, Blue Star Museums is a partnership among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, Joining Forces, MetLife Foundation and museums across the United States. This year there are twice as many facilities involved as were participating just two years ago. Each summer from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend Blue Star Museums offers military families a great, affordable and educational way to spend time together!
Use this interactive U.S. map to find participating facilities where you are. Simply click on your state and a list will come up.
Get answers to your Frequently Asked Questions’s here and plan your visit by the close of business, Monday, September 2nd, 2013!
