MCEC®’s Pledge to Military-Connected Children!
For 16 plus years, the Military Child Education Coalition® (MCEC®) has worked to support the approximately 4 million military-connected children in our country affected by their parents’ active duty, reserve and guard service to our nation. At this year’s MCEC® National Training Seminar (NTS), their theme is about “Keeping the Promise” to these kids during a period of significant change and challenge in their lives.
The MCEC® NTS is a globally-recognized training event for anyone interested in serving and supporting military-connected children. It’s not too late to register for this year’s event which will take place July 29-30, 2014 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington D.C.
With a focus on Academics, Service and Wellness, this year’s speakers include: Arne Duncan, Secretary, Department of Education; General Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff; Michael Cohen, President, Achieve; John McGrath, Vice President for Communication, College Board and many more!
Featured workshops include: Supporting Military-Connected Schools; Elementary Academics; College and Career Readiness; School Behavioral Health; The OrganWise Guys; Get Moving! Using Exercise to Reduce Stress; Mindfulness and Movement, and more.
Included in this event is an Expo with 40+ exhibitors where industry representatives can share innovative ideas, observe demonstrations and experience hands-on learning.
