Incredible Opportunity from USC for High School Students!
02/17/2015 Published by: Amy Soupene
The University of Southern California is now accepting applications for its 2015 Provost’s Pre-College Summer Scholarship for Military High School Students. This amazing opportunity is open to military-connected high school students currently in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade with a 3.0 or higher GPA. If selected, the USC Summer Programs Office will cover all costs; entire tuition and fees, airfare, room and board, and course materials for the four week college-credit program.
Sounds terrific, doesn’t it? This summer program allows high school students to experience what freshman year is like at USC; a premiere private research university. Culturally-diverse students from around the world will study in the university’s classrooms and labs, live in the residence halls and eat in the dining facilities. But it’s not all work, there are weeknight activities such as: movie and game nights, talent shows, and intramural sports. Visiting popular Los Angeles tourist destinations are reserved for Saturdays. In previous years, students have visited Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farms, and the Santa Monica Pier.
Are you interested? If you are a military-connected high school student committed to the value of education and to developing community, download the application and get it sent in before the April 1, 2015 deadline to be considered for this once-in-a-lifetime summer program.

Can you tell me if homeschooled students are eligible to compete for this scholarship program? And, if so, from whom should the recommendation letters come?

Do you know the dates and is airfare for overseas students covered as well?
Amy Soupene, 02.23.2015
Students will arrive at camp Saturday, June 13th and depart for home on Saturday, July 11th, 2015. And please remember, all applications must be received by Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Best of luck! ~Amy
