Calling all of you student artists and/or writers . . . here is yet another opportunity to showcase your talents!  Presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition “identifies teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience.”  Celebrating 90 years of creativity (the awards began in 1923), participants submit original art and writing to compete for regional and national awards, and scholarships (over $25 million has been offered in the last five years).  Past winners include:  Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Robert Redford, Richard Avedon and Joyce Carol Oates.

When does it begin?

*Registration opened on September 17, 2012

Who can participate?
